About this Website

This site is used in CoffeeCup Software's tutorial, How to Create a Website in 8 Simple Steps. As such, we provide all the content available for download to help those reading the article to follow along.

For the New Learner

HTML for Beginners was started as a tutorial site to help people get started creating their own sites. Though not as comprehensive as some other tutorial sites, we feel it provides the basis for creating a very basic site and letting you know a little about the language.

We gloss over some of the more advanced topics, such as styling with CSS, but there are always links to other resources where these skills can be learned. By showing examples of the code right next to its explanation, you'll get a better idea of how to write your code. We also try to put the ideas into terms anybody can understand while using correct terminology at the same time. You'll find lots of analogies to help clarify ideas.
